Silver Dog Photography Award
This was the last month in the Guild Of Photographers image of the month competition for this year and I have finally got a Silver Award with a dog image. The silver image is of Otis the French Bulldog which was taken in my studio, the other image of Otis I entered was awarded a Bronze which is great and I also got a Bronze with Gertie my English Setter with an outdoor shot.
I love this image of Gertie and have a large canvas on the wall at home of her.
I love taking action water shots with dogs. This image was taken at Chatsworth country fair this year we were watching the k9 aqua sports, I couldn’t resist a few shots and thought this was pretty good when I took it. Happy with a Bronze Award this month in the Guild of Photographers competition
Silver Bar (In The "Open" Section)
Wow a Silver Award with the Guild Of Photographers in the open section with my Hen Pheasant image.
Guild Of Photographers Awards
Two Bronze Awards this month in the competition, which is great news. Billy and Gertie my two English Setters in the snow, and Jimmy the Labrador cross Springer Spaniel which was taken on a family shoot in the autumn last year.
A Bronze Award with this image of the show dog Poacher a Deerhound, this was taken last summer during the private commission.
Show Dog & Working Dog Photography Awards
I am really pleased with the result this month, three Bronze Awards, two which were from the HPR Championships from back in November and the beautiful portrait of my English Setter Gertie.
The Kennel Club Working Gundog Tests & Events Chatsworth
Photographer for the Kennel Club Gundog working tests events again, but this year I could only do three days which was Wednesday the training day, Thursday & Friday the Retriever International. I had a dog show entered, Border Union which happened to fall the same weekend as Chatsworth but it was worth while the long trip up to Kelso as my young English Setter Billy won his first CC from post graduate. Sorry to those who didn't get their event covered.
Below is a slideshow of images from the training day on the Wednesday.
All the photo's from the training day at Chatsworth are still available to view or purchase but have been put in to archive, please get in touch for more information. Thank you

Crufts Dog Show
Crufts Dog Show, my favourite show I love it.
I got my press pass organised, but I also took my dog Travis to show. Travis is already a Show Champion and eligible for Veteran now he's 7.
I had an amazing day show wise Travis won Veteran dog, and Best Veteran in Breed. His Son Frankie won the Dog CC Best of Breed and was shortlisted in the Gundog group, Travis's Daughter Pebbles won the Bitch CC and his Granddaughter won Best Puppy in Breed a mega show day. But I didnt actually get that many photos taken as I was busy around the rings.
Family Photography Awards
Wow two Bronze Awards in the people category, thats a great start to the Guild Of Photographers image of the month competition for me.
This was a great family shoot last November, I love Autumn colours and was so pleased with the results. The Williams family were very happy too.
I do a small number of Family Portraits each year and they usually include dogs.
Official Photographer For The Cocker Spaniel Championships
The Cocker Spaniel Championship Held at Sandringham Estate, Norfolk
What a start to the New Year. I had two fantastic days Monday and Tuesday as the official photographer for the Kennel Club at the Cocker Spaniel Championship held at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. I got to see great dogs work, the ground was excellent and there were lots of lovely people to meet. To top it off Her Majesty The Queen came out to watch the dogs work both days, and presented the awards how exciting!!! That was certainly a couple of days I won't forget, and I got to photograph it all.
All the photo's from the 2 days at the Cocker Spaniel Championship are still available to view or purchase but have been put in to archive, please get in touch for more information. Thank you
