The Kennel Club Working Gundog Tests Held at The Chatsworth Estate, Derbyshire

For the second year I was photographing the working gundog tests for the Kennel Club at Chatsworth Estate. What should of been 5 great days turned out to be 4 as I got bitten by a horse fly on my hand!! as soon as I walked into the field before I had even taken one photo and I react quite bad. So I had to miss the first day of the International Retriever Team Event which was the next day. Apart from that I had a great time the weather was boiling hot again and I got some great gundog images.

This year I photographed the gundog training day on the Wednesday, on the Friday the second day of the International Retriever Team Event the water test. Saturday the first day of the Retriever Open Test, and on the Sunday I was with the Spaniels for the Spaniel Open again. Which is great test to be able to watch.

Highly Commended Fieldsports Magazine

26th May

The Leica Fieldsports Photographer Of The Year 2017

The Fieldsports magazine arrived today! A month ago I entered the Leica Fieldsports Photographer of the Year Competition with a few of my images. The Working English Setter "Zeus" I entered has won a Highly Commended wow, I am really pleased with that. Zeus is owned by Fiona Kirk. Also one image I entered from the Bettie Town Glen Prosen Challenge which I photographed for The English Setter Club last August, has featured in the magazine too.

Wedding Photography

The Three Masters

May

I have been on a Wedding photography course called The Three Masters, a 5 day residential course at the stunning Hoar Cross Hall, with three of the very best wedding photographers, letting us in on the secrets to their world class images.

It was absolutely amazing I learnt so many new skills which I can apply to my photography, had a great time and met some new friends there.

Dog Show Photographer

30th April

I wasn't showing the dogs this time at ESA (English Setter Association). I was kindly asked by the committee of the show if I would like to have a stall for my photography and English Setter Greeting Cards. Dawn Goutorbe was helping me, she did a great job of selling the cards for me while I was outside doing photo shoots with the exhibitors.

I got some lovely photos from the day which I am sure will be used as year book photographs and I also had a couple of year book adverts to design too.

Qualified Dog Photographer

11th March

A few weeks ago I submitted 21 of my dog photography images to The Guild Of Photographers to be assessed by a panel of Judges. "Qualified Status"is only awarded by The Guild Of Photographers to who have met its exacting standards and evidenced a good standard of photography as it is a "live' qualification to ensure the photographer continues to meet this standard.

The certificate arrived in the post today, on my Birthday.

English Setter Show Dog Front Cover

3rd February

My Kennel Gazette has arrived today!!! I've been waiting for this. It features English Setters and has the lovely Darlow on the front cover which I photographed last May for owner Sylvia Cole.

"I have had 2 photo sessions with Rebecca with my dogs both show and natural shots and the whole experience from start to the finish was first class and I was absolutely delighted when one of my photos was used as a cover on the Kennel Gazette" Sylvia

Sylvia wanted natural outdoor shots of her two show dogs which she was really pleased with. I also designed a simple year book advert with the photos from the day too.
